Stay away from CHS Medical

This is a strong word of caution to any potential candidates considering Middle East employment with Comprehensive Health Services based out of Cocoa Beach Florida. I have been in the employment of CHS Medical for the past six months and can attest to what a dishonorable company they actually are.

CHS does not honor the Foreign Services Agreement (FSA) that you as a potential candidate will sign. They (CHS) have lied, ignored and deceived the Kuwait and Iraq employees with respect to every monetary and safety issue that was promised. Here are a few examples.

1.CHS is recruiting for paramedics to work in Iraq. CHS is not sending paramedics to Iraq, CHS hired paramedics under an Iraq FSA and sent them to Kuwait promising them only a “temporary stay,” (This was the classic Bait and Switch) to date most paramedics has either resigned and returned to America or are stuck here making far less money than promised. No one is going to Iraq and the rumor is that CHS lost the Iraq contract.

2.Employees will be housed on base in a secure location, security will be provided, body armor, Kevlar helmets and gas masks, AND all meals will be furnished at CHS expense.
Once again that was a lie on the part of CHS staff at the Cape. CHS employees are not housed on any base; they are housed in a suburb of Kuwait City with no physical security from terroristic threats. You have to pay for all of your meals and Kuwait is a very expensive place to live.

3.“The ambulances are on the ground, new stations were built to work out of, and we will be working in just a few short weeks.”
Another tragic falsehood! Nobody is working.

4.You will be paid a bonus upon completion of your contract.
Another tragic lie, CHS is decided that the monies promised to employees in the legal FSA is actually and arbitrary issue and have breached the contract, to date CHS has not honored that obligation and it appears that they do not intend to.

I could go on but it is pointless, you get the picture, you have been warned.

Hey Papa Bear, From your post it sounds like you are still with this company. Sounds like a great time to get out. There is no way they can enforce their contract. You also may be entitled to damages along with any others who were enticed into signing a fraudulent contract. Suggest you try and find everybody else who had similar problems. Together you may be able to go after these guys. These companies have come and gone and come around again with a new name. Whatever they get they deserve. Contact me if you are interested in any remedies people may have. As if our job wasn't difficult enough. Take care.

I also, along with PapaBear, was also employed by these clowns and no, this thread IS NOT one sided and use the term clowns extremely lightly. Everything that he has spoke of is the truth. They are also mysteriously posting jobs for africa, iraq and afghanistan as well stating that they are working with other high end contractors, again, its a lie...its all a lie. They have no other contracts other than Kuwait. Someone needs to seriously look into what they are doing....I also entertain the fact that they are advertising on the National Registry site, but dont abide by the rules and regulations of the National Registry. AMAZING
